No.25 Squadron Himalayan Eagles

Date Raised : 1963-03-01 Location : Vadodara
The sqn was raised in 1963 at Chandigarh to support the Army operations in Nothern Sector in the harsh Leh and Ladakh region. Initially formed on 4 An-12s, it added IL-76 in 1989. in 1993 the An-12s were replaced by the An-32s. The sqn moved to the western sector at Vadodara in Sep 2011. Hwoever the Il-76 element remained at 12 wing and merged with 44 Sqn.
